Miss J’s Boudoir Experience

“Kristen is an extremely talented photographer. She was very professional in what might be considered a delicate situation (I don’t usually wear so little clothing in front of strangers!) and also made the experience fun. Not only that, I was so happy with all of my photos that I bought all of them! I’ve never been one to like being photographed or the results of my being photographed, but Kristen really has an eye and vision of what makes her subjects look beautiful while also looking like themselves.

How did you hear about Kristen Jones Boudoir?

I found you through a web search. A friend of mine recommended Columbus Boudoir, but when I realized how expensive the service was, I decided to look around. You had good reviews, and I liked your style best. Plus, I have a cousin in Cali who is a photographer, and she also suggested you based on what she found in a web search.

Why did you book your session?

I had planned to do it as a wedding gift for my fiancé, but I ultimately did it not only for that reason but also because I thought it would give me a confidence boost. I’ve always had really poor body image.

Do you remember what drew you to our style at KJB?

I really liked the variety of settings and poses you shared on your website in comparison to some of the other photographers’. Also, your subjects all looked very organic, and your photo quality is superior.

How did you feel leading up to your session?

I was excited! I told the few lady friend/acquaintances I have about it, and they all thought it sounded like a fun time. It was also fun to shop for outfits!

How did you feel during your session?

When I first arrived, it seemed very professional, which kind of helped me feel less nervous (kind of like going to the doctor, haha). You are a professional and you do this for a living, so I felt like I was in good hands.

One or two words to describe your boudoir experience?

Exciting and fun.

If this was a gift for a significant other, what did he/she/they say about the images? Did they have a favorite pose or outfit?

I did end up telling him about it because I was in such a good mood after. He was shocked that I’d ever do something like this! He loved all of the photos though and didn’t pick a favorite.

Would you recommend Kristen to a friend?

Absolutely.

What would you say to a friend deciding to book a session?

You deserve to do this at least once. After doing it once, you’ll want to do it again.

Is there anything I can do to make the experience better for you in the future?

I’ve been wondering if we had more time if I would have liked to do any nude or implied nude photos. Even though I didn’t feel nervous, I can compartmentalize, so I’m sure I was, underneath because I was exhausted afterward. It was probably good for me to ease my way in. I love all of the images and hope I can have the experience again, so next time I’ll have new and possibly no outfits, haha.
