As part of my self-healing journey it was recommended that I look into booking a boudoir shoot, so I did! Why not?! Leading up to the session I was extremely nervous. In fact, on the two hour drive I was sweating, became nauseous and almost turned around to go back home! As soon as I walked through the door Kristen welcomed me with the warmest yet coolest vibe I’ve ever come across! During hair and makeup she made me laughed which calmed my nerves immensely. Throughout the entire session she was amazing and made me feel so at ease! The reveal.. I was floored! She’s a master at this!! I highly recommend Kristen to anybody who needs a little boost of confidence. Thank you for being amazing, Kristen!!

From the moment we started her makeup, talking was as easy as breathing. I probably talked more than she did to be honest. We chatted about life, vet school, long-distance relationships, and naturally, animals—because Miss M isn’t just stunning, she’s also a veterinary medicine resident who just landed her dream job down south in a warmer state.
She’s brilliant. She’s independent. She’s the kind of woman who drives across her home state chasing opportunity and isn’t afraid to leap into a brand-new chapter with open arms. And somewhere in the middle of building a life she loves, she chose to book a boudoir session with me to capture who she is right now—powerful, radiant, and stepping fully into her future.
(Also? I’m officially jealous of her naturally curly hair. It’s basically magic.)
One of my favorite parts of her story is how full-circle it came. Miss M booked without even realizing that she works alongside a beautiful friend and previous muse of mine. The universe has a funny way of confirming we’re exactly where we’re supposed to be.
After her session, she upgraded to her full gallery after believing she could only want a mere 15 (how could she not? These photos were jaw-dropping), and she walked out of the studio glowing. Her final words? In true New Girl fashion: "No notes!"

A Testament to Her Power — Miss L’s Session
There are days in this work that remind me exactly why I do what I do. Today was one of those days.
There are days in this work that remind me exactly why I do what I do. Today was one of those days.
Miss L drove two and a half hours to come see me—passing up photographers who were practically in her backyard. She lived in Nashville for 20 years, and now she’s a powerhouse mom to six boys. Six! That alone makes her superhuman in my book.
This was her third boudoir session ever—but her first with me. And what a gift it was to photograph her, witness her, and hold space for everything she brought into the studio.
She told me the reason she booked her very first session years ago: she wanted to cancel out the cruel, echoing voices that told her she wasn’t enough. That she was fat. That she was awkward. That she was somehow less beautiful than she actually is.
That kind of bravery—the kind that confronts those lies head-on and says, watch me—is sacred.
Miss L didn’t come into the studio to become someone else. She came to remember who she’s always been. And it showed. She radiated grace and confidence in a way that made the camera fall in love with her. And more importantly—she started falling in love with herself again, too.
She gave me the honor of a full gallery release, and every single image is proof: she is art. She is elegance. She is raw power wrapped in softness and soul. These photos are not just portraits. They’re evidence of a woman who decided to choose herself.

It can take a lot to be comfortable enough to get somewhat, if not totally naked with a person you met 2 hours beforehand, but her personality and openness make it so easy! Also her playlist is kick ass and helps set the mood for the day!

Miss A: My Sunday Muse
I don’t usually shoot on Sundays.
I don’t usually shoot on Sundays.
That time is sacred — reserved for pancakes with my daughter, long walks with the dogs, and a little bit of peace before the week starts. But when Miss J booked in, something in my gut said yes. And honestly? I’m so glad I listened.
Miss J showed up and from the moment she stepped through the door, it felt like reconnecting with an old friend — the kind who shares stories that make you want to pour another cup of coffee and stay awhile. We talked nonstop like we were catching up on a decade of memories, and by the time she started her first set, I knew this session was going to be nothing short of amazing.
Now, it takes a special kind of woman to meet a stranger and feel comfortable enough to strip down — not once, but twice— during her session. But Miss J? She owned it. With unapologetic confidence and magnetic energy, she bared her skin and soul in two of her four sets (bonus set unlocked for paying in full — hell yes, queen!), and the result? Pure. Freaking. Magic.
She’s an accountant by day — precise, powerful, and wicked smart — but don’t let the spreadsheets fool you. She’s also a vacation-chasing, joy-collecting, wild-hearted woman and a badass mama to three. I told her by the end of the session that I want to be her when I grow up… and I meant it.
Miss J reminded me that sometimes, breaking your own rules is exactly what your soul needs. That vulnerability and bravery aren’t opposites — they’re dance partners. And that yes, you absolutely can be a total boss in the books and a goddess in front of the camera.
I walked away from her session inspired, energized, and connected with a new soul I didn’t know I needed to meet.

“When I booked this I was so nervous. I was even more nervous walking up to the studio door with a bag of barely there, very feminine , clothes I was about to put on. I do a lot of physical work outside in the dirt so being girly isn’t a thing I get to do a lot. By the time we’d gotten through hair and makeup the nerves were pretty much gone. Kristen was so fun and kind. I felt like she was a part of my friend group. By the end of my session and image reveal I was tearing up. I didn’t know that I could look so beautiful and so girly. I would 10 out of 10 recommend!”

Miss L – A Session That Healed More Than It Revealed
Some women arrive at the studio not just for photos—but for a reckoning, a reclamation, a return to themselves. Miss L was one of those women.

Miss L was one of those women.
She’s a mother of three, including a set of beautiful twins she had just discovered she was expecting when she first reached out to me years ago. At the time, her dream of a boudoir session had to be tucked away—because life was calling her to pour every ounce of herself into the chaos and joy of motherhood.
But this year?
This year was hers.
And when she walked through the doors of my studio, I knew we were about to create something truly sacred.
We talked about everything—our pasts, the complexities of the present, and the kind of future we’re both still daring to imagine. There was laughter, there were stories, and there was this unspoken understanding that what we were doing wasn’t just about taking photos.
It was about finally being seen.
For Miss L, this session was therapy in the truest sense. It was healing wrapped in artistry, a quiet kind of liberation disguised as a photoshoot.
And when I revealed her gallery to her—the real her, in all her radiance and resilience—tears filled her eyes. The kind that say I made it. I see myself again. And I’m proud of who I’ve become.
That’s what boudoir is.
Not a performance. Not a pose.
A return.
A healing.
A homecoming.
Miss L, thank you for trusting me with your story, your strength, and your softness. You reminded me once again why I do what I do.
Because when the world asks women to give and give and give—boudoir gives something back.
And every single one of us deserves that.
